Roma, 17 novembre 2021 – Il Centro Protesi INAIL di Budrio a pochi chilometri da Bologna compie 60 anni proprio in questi giorni e le celebrazioni di questo centro di eccellenza delle tecnologia protesica sono state diverse. Un’eccellenza che anche Radio Anmil ha voluto mettere in primo piano ospitando questo pomeriggio alcuni dei protagonisti di questa straordinaria storia di straordinario supporto alle persone con disabilità.
A partire dal Presidente nazionale di ANMIL, Zoello Forni che l’ha frequentato fin dai giorni del suo avvio, nel 1961. Con Forni hanno preso parte alla trasmissione il dottor Angelo Andretta, direttore del Centro protesi, e la dott.ssa Antonella Miccio, direttore sanitario, e David Magini, che il Centro Protesi lo ha cominciato a frequentare negli anni ottanta.
Ascoltando il racconto del veterano Zoello Forni, e di chi lo conduce attualmente, il perno del grande successo di Budrio è nell’aver capito fin dall’inizio che il rapporto con il paziente è un rapporto finalizzato a ottenere il suo reinserimento e non ad attribuirgli una protesi. Migliaia di pazienti assistiti, migliaia di storie diverse una dall’altra che ogni tecnico, ogni specialista hanno dovuto affrontare cercando innanzitutto di capire ciò che avevano davanti in quel momento. Storie di singolarità quindi che hanno stimolato la cosiddetta “parte tecnica” a trovare di volta in volta la “soluzione giusta”.
Ecco perché la frequentazione di Budrio, come hanno sottolineato sia Magini che Forni, porta inevitabilmente con sé, la grande ricchezza dei rapporti umani, dei legami. Forni, per esempio, ha raccontato alcune storie già da quando negli anni sessanta e settanta, era lui stesso, peraltro ancora giovane, ad accompagnare gli assistenti sociali a far visita agli altri infortunati.
Oggi Budrio, come sottolineano sia Andretta che Miccio, è un centro di eccellenza in vetta alla classifica mondiale. E’ grazie a questa alta specializzazione mai disgiunta però dall’aspetto umano che ha ottenuto grandi successi nelle protesi e negli ausili del mondo sportivo paralimpico.
Questi primati oggi consentono a Budrio di attirare ricercatori e nuovi percorsi tecnologici che contribuiranno in futuro a renderla ancora più forte.
A sessant’anni di distanza, quindi, Budrio chiude un bilancio positivo e questi giorni hanno rappresentato anche l’occasione di riaprire con nuovi laboratori e reparti di degenza, gli edifici interessati dal terremoto del 2011. Come dire, radici antiche e prospettive moderne continuano ad essere la sostanza del Centro di Budrio.
