15 ottobre 2019 – La Settimana europea per la sicurezza e la salute sul lavoro si svolge ogni anno in ottobre (43esima settimana dell’anno) e promuove centinaia di eventi di sensibilizzazione realizzati in tutta l’UE e non solo.
Venerdì 25 ottobre, la sezione ANMIL di Rieti organizzerà il Convegno “Economia e tutela della salute e sicurezza in agricoltura nel reatino: opportunità per le future generazioni”.
L’incontro si svolgerà nella Sala Consiliare del Comune di Rieti a partire dalle ore 15.30. L’obiettivo dell’iniziativa è quello di diffondere la cultura della sicurezza sul lavoro e incidere positivamente sull’andamento degli infortuni e delle malattie professionali in agricoltura, settore ad alto rischio sia dal punto di vista della frequenza che della gravità degli eventi lesivi. Il comparto agricolo, peraltro, può essere caratterizzato da particolare vulnerabilità considerato che in esso trovano più frequentemente occupazione lavoratori informali e migranti, notoriamente più esposti a fenomeni di sfruttamento illecito della manodopera.
Nonostante in questi ultimi anni si stia assistendo alla progressiva riduzione del numero degli addetti in agricoltura, per una serie di ragioni economiche e non, i casi di infortunio in questo settore hanno subito una riduzione proporzionalmente inferiore. Va poi sottolineato che la meccanizzazione e l’uso di prodotti chimici, sommati alle difficoltà strutturali del lavoro in agricoltura ed all’invecchiamento delle attrezzature e dei macchinari da lavoro, hanno esteso la probabilità di subire infortuni o di contrarre malattie professionali. Il lavoratore agricolo, a differenza di altri lavoratori, opera per un tempo limitato ed in un ambiente circoscritto – influenzato notevolmente dalle variazioni meteorologiche – ed è sottoposto a ritmi lavorativi intensi ed estremamente variabili, oltre che in una situazione di stretta correlazione tra vita lavorativa e vita privata. Dunque l’iniziativa punta ad offrire una riflessione su questi temi, anche al fine di comprendere quali prospettive di miglioramento si possano delineare a più di dieci anni dall’entrata in vigore del d.lgs. n. 81/2008 (cosiddetto testo Unico di Salute e Sicurezza sul lavoro).
Il Convegno è stato organizzato con l’ausilio di Copagri su iniziativa della Provincia di Rieti.
