1 luglio 2019 – Lo scorso 27 giugno, l’ANMIL di Rieti è andata al porto di Livorno a far visita al veliero della Marina Militare “Amerigo Vespucci” adibito a nave scuola per l’addestramento degli allievi uffciali dei ruoli normali dell’Accademia navale. In veste di rappresentanti dell’Associazione erano presenti Silvia Patacchiola, ANMIL Rieti e Stefano Agabiti, Patronato ANMIL.
Si tratta di un progetto avviato nel 1925 e realizzato nel 1930 dall’ingegnere Francesco Rotundi, tenente colonnello del Genio navale e direttore dei Regi cantieri navali di Castellammare di Stabia. Il motto della nave “Non chi comincia ma quel che persevera”, ufficializzato nel 1978, è inciso nella targa consegnata dal comandante in seconda all’ANMIL per celebrare l’incontro. Una massima fortemente sentita dall’Associazione per la sua costante battaglia per la categoria rappresentata: le vittime sul lavoro.
