Roma, 8 aprile 2022 – Il Presidente della Fondazione ANMIL “Sosteniamoli subito” Francesco Costantino, ha consegnato nel pomeriggio di ieri a Palazzo dei Bruzi, un riconoscimento al sindaco Franz Caruso per l’impegno profuso dall’Amministrazione comunale nel promuovere, con diverse iniziative, la sicurezza sui luoghi di lavoro. Il Presidente Costantino era accompagnato da una delegazione dell’ANMIL formata dal Presidente della sezione di Cosenza Antonio Domma, dal Vice Presidente Giovanni Alfinito, e dal Presidente regionale Antonio Carlizzi.
La targa al sindaco di Cosenza è stata consegnata dai vertici nazionali, regionali e locali di ANMIL soprattutto per aver sposato l’iniziativa dello scorso Natale, in occasione del quale fu collocato in Piazza Carratelli, l’albero per la sicurezza progettato dall’artista Francesco Sbolzani per richiamare l’attenzione dell’opinione pubblica sulla sicurezza e per ricordare quanti hanno perso o rischiato di perdere la propria vita lavorando.
“Il nostro compito – ha dichiarato Costantino – è quello di sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sulla sicurezza sui luoghi di lavoro. Già nel primo trimestre dell’anno in corso i dati ci dicono che le morti sul lavoro sono aumentate del 10% rispetto allo stesso periodo dell’anno precedente, mentre l’anno scorso hanno toccato la cifra di 1200. Siamo di fronte, insomma, ad una continua strage di lavoratori. Di qui la nostra sollecitazione per considerare il lavoro e la sicurezza come un’esigenza insopprimibile del diritto dei lavoratori”.
