Roma, 25 novembre 2021 – Violenza contro le donne? Il dossier che riguarda la disabilità è più voluminoso di quello che si pensi. Ad oggi, secondo le stime, sono 1000 i casi ogni anno, consumati nelle mura domestiche, con la soggezione di non contrariare i loro aguzzini, talvolta uniche persone su cui le vittime possono contare. Le donne più colpite sono coloro che soffrono di disabilità intellettive o psichiatriche , di seguito anche patologie motorie ma da non dimenticare quelle economiche negando la gestione del denaro e quindi di accedere all’autodeterminazione. Molte volte i parenti delle donne con problemi mentali non si accorgono di questi drammi perché spesso danno responsabilità alle patologie che a volte non rendono comprensibili o credibili i segnali inviati dalle vittime. E’ necessario supportare maggiormente queste “femmine” attraverso servizi sociali più presenti nella quotidianità delle donne disabili ed ancora è necessario tirar giù il muro dell’ipocrisia legato alla asessualità di chi ha un deficit .
“Chi vive un handicap – sottolinea la presidente dell’associaizone ALM Ileana Argentin – ha le stesse possibilità , se non di più, di subire violenze di ogni forma . Non consideriamo impossibile il possibile, cioè gli abusi di uomini (malati o crudeli) su chi non è riconosciuto persona per stereotipi legati ai limiti di una società non in grado di vedere che le vittime non si differenziano per parametri estetici”.
