Roma, 7 dicembre 2020 – Sui precari nel corpo dei vigili del fuoco, la Commissione ha appena inviato una nuova lettera al Governo italiano che avrà ora due mesi per presentare all’Ue le misure concrete adottate nei prossimi 60 giorni al fine di ottemperare alla direttiva europea 70 del 1999 sulle condizioni di lavoro a tempo determinato”. Il pronunciamento è stato possibile dopo una denuncia partita dalla Sardegna. Secondo i due avvocati che presentarono il ricorso nel novembre 2017, Vincenzo e Massimo Canu, i vigili del fuoco discontinui sono stati “utilizzati indiscriminatamente come precari nei comandi grazie ad artifizi legislativi che li qualificavano come volontari, rendendoli ostaggi di una serie potenzialmente illimitata di contratti a tempo determinato”.
Il gruppo di ricorrenti sardi, riunito nell’associazione “L’Italia dei precari”, oggi rivendicano a gran voce i loro diritti e sollecitano una soluzione da parte dello Stato.
