7 ottobre 2019 – Drammatico incidente della nave cargo “Malta” della Grimaldi Lines in navigazione da Cagliari a Porto Torres nel Nord della Sardegna. Questa mattina, intorno alle 10.30, è scattato l’allarme della Guardia costiera, e dalla Capitaneria di Porto Torres è partito un elicottero di soccorso. Un marinaio di 24 anni di nazionalità bulgara è morto per cause ancora in corso di accertamento. Un suo collega, probabilmente di stessa nazionalità, è rimasto gravemente ferito con entrambe le gambe fratturate. Non appena la nave avrà attraccato nel Porto sardo, i militari della Guardia Costiera saliranno a bordo per eseguire tutte le verifiche del caso.
