20 aprile 2022 – Al fine di sostenere lo sviluppo dell’offerta turistica rivolta alle persone con disabilità e favorire l’inclusione sociale e la diversificazione dell’offerta turistica stessa, è stato presentato oggi, dal Ministro del Turismo, Massimo Garavaglia, e dal Ministro per le Disabilità, Erika Stefani, il decreto interministeriale che stabilisce le modalità di accesso e fruizione al fondo previsto dalla legge di Bilancio e destinato alla realizzazione di interventi per l’accessibilità all’offerta turistica delle persone con disabilità, con una dotazione pari a 6 milioni di euro per ciascuno degli anni 2022, 2023 e 2024.
“Le risorse si affiancano a quelle già disposte con il Pnrr in favore della sostenibilità dell’offerta turistica nazionale. Si tratta anche in questo caso di un tangibile supporto messo in campo dal governo in favore dell’effettiva transizione di un settore nevralgico del Paese verso quegli obiettivi di sostenibilità sociale che l’Agenda 2030 identifica chiaramente – sottolinea Garavaglia nel commentare il decreto interministeriale – Questi altri obiettivi di sostenibilità, concetto associato comunemente ai soli goal di natura ambientale, sono insiti infatti nell’evidente fine sociale di questo provvedimento, che favorisce finalmente lo sviluppo di strutture in grado di ospitare un target cui, per troppi anni e gravemente, è stato negato il diritto di poter godere di una recezione adeguata. E’ un passo importante, perché è proprio la capacità di garantire una compiuta ospitalità a tutti a denotare la civiltà di un Paese, soprattutto in una realtà come la nostra in cui tale valore è da sempre ritenuto sacrosanto”.
“La misura, nel sostenere tutte le strutture imprenditoriali che decidono di investire nell’adeguare le loro strutture in favore dei turisti con bisogni speciali, produrrà inoltre un significativo valore aggiunto al sistema turistico nazionale, favorendone diversificazione, capacità di penetrazione e quindi l’opportunità di poter attingere a un bacino potenziale significativamente più ampio – continua Garavaglia – Si tratta quindi di un provvedimento che favorirà un aumento del prodotto interno lordo sia per gli investimenti che saranno implementati dagli operatori del settore sia per i correlati effetti in termini di aumento del livello di domanda turistica che gli stessi saranno in grado di produrre già nell’immediato”.
Il Ministro Stefani sottolinea: “Il percorso che stiamo tracciando oggi è importante. Noi dobbiamo per un verso stimolare la nostra società affinché sia più inclusiva nei confronti delle persone con disabilità, per l’altro dobbiamo pubblicizzare le iniziative già volte all’inclusione per far comprendere che il turismo accessibile non è beneficienza da parte di chi fornisce un servizio ma rappresenta una grande opportunità di investimento. Con questo provvedimento abbiamo predisposto un sistema per fare sì che ci sia un portale dove le strutture accessibili siano anche rintracciabili, per disegnare la panoramica di un Paese che crea una vera offerta turistica, perché mette a disposizione dei servizi per tutti. Da una parte dunque individuiamo i criteri per valutare quali sono le strutture accessibili e quali no, dall’altra creiamo anche un’offerta turistica ben definita”, conclude Stefani.
