Roma, 3 giugno 2020 – Al via, dal prossimo 7 luglio, il processo a Milano a carico di cinque ex dirigenti del Teatro alla Scala accusati di omicidio colposo in relazione alla morte di una decina di persone che avrebbero respirato le fibre killer (amianto) al Piermarini, prima delle bonifiche dei locali.
Dopo circa 4 mesi di stop, a causa delle disposizioni del Tribunale sulla prevenzione del contagio da #Coronavirus, riprenderanno infatti i lavori con la prosecuzione della testimonianza del consulente epidemiologo delle parti civili, Enzo Merler.
Lo scorso febbraio, alcune associazioni tra cui il ‘Comitato per la difesa della salute nei luoghi di lavoro’ avevano presentato alla stampa un dossier sull’esposizione alla fibra killer al Piermarini. Un documento corposo in cui si sottolineava, per esempio, che gli “interventi di bonifica” del teatro erano stati “ottenuti non per obbligo di legge e per prevenzione, ma per le denunce dei lavoratori, gli unici che hanno posto la necessità di porre rimedio all’inalazione di fibre di amianto da parte degli ignari spettatori del Teatro alla Scala”. Ad ogni modo, dal punto di vista penale, nei vari procedimenti in corso a Milano negli ultimi anni sono sempre arrivate assoluzioni per gli ex manager delle aziende portati a processo nelle complesse inchieste del pm Maurizio Ascione.
