Roma, 14 dicembre 2020 – Presidio dei vigili del fuoco questa mattina davanti al tribunale di Alessandria, dove è prevista la ripresa in Corte d’Assise del processo nei confronti di Giovanni Vincenti e della moglie Antonella Patrucco, accusati di omicidio plurimo doloso aggravato per l’esplosione della villetta di Quargnento in cui, nella notte tra il 4 e il 5 novembre 2019, sono morti tre vigili del fuoco.
“La nostra presenza – spiega Giovanni Maccarino, responsabile del sindacato Usb di Alessandria – è a sostegno dei nostri colleghi che non ci sono più e di quelli che lavorano ogni giorno. Ci hanno definito imprudenti. Se dovesse passare in giudicato questa sentenza ci metterebbe in difficoltà: ogni volta, su un intervento, dovremo chiederci se siamo imprudenti o se stiamo facendo il nostro lavoro”.
Su Change.org la petizione ‘Giustizia per i vigili del fuoco morti nella strage di Quargnento’ sta raccogliendo centinaia di sottoscrizioni. “La invieremo al Presidente della Repubblica”, spiega Maccarino.
