Il progetto, che come sempre conta sul sostegno di Cia-Agricoltori Italiani, punta alla valorizzazione e alla promozione del riutilizzo sociale dei beni confiscati e sequestrati alle mafie, nonché alla formazione dei partecipanti sui temi dell’antimafia sociale e alla conoscenza dei territori coinvolti; questo attraverso una settimana di vita di campo immersi in esperienze di impegno sociale e approfondimento. Se da un lato il progetto è rivolto alle realtà che gestiscono beni confiscati e sequestrati, dall’altro i veri protagonisti sono le migliaia di persone che ogni estate decidono volontariamente di dedicare una settimana delle proprie vacanze per accompagnare il quotidiano impegno di cooperative sociali e associazioni nelle reti territoriali dell’antimafia sociale. “Ripartire dall’agricoltura per proporre un modello alternativo alla logica mafiosa – spiega il presidente nazionale Cia, Dino Scanavino – è uno dei tanti meriti di Libera, ossia di dimostrare che ciò che la criminalità organizzata ha sottratto alla collettività può essere restituito alla società civile e può creare, attraverso il lavoro sui beni confiscati, nuove opportunità di crescita e di formazione, prima di tutto per i giovani”.
