Roma, 29 aprile 2021 – In occasione della Giornata internazionale della salute e della sicurezza sul lavoro che si celebra il 28 aprile di ogni anno promossa dall’ILO (Organizzazione Internazionale del Lavoro) per richiamare l’attenzione sui diritti dei lavoratori troppo spesso ignorati, il Coordinamento Nazionale Docenti della Disciplina dei Diritti Umani (CNDDU) propone il progetto “Sentinelle sulla sicurezza e sulla salute sul lavoro” da sviluppare attraverso brevi interviste ai propri conoscenti o familiari con l’obiettivo di comprendere il grado si sicurezza percepito nei luoghi di lavoro. Gli elaborati in forma di video o schede informative dovranno poi essere inviati all’indirizzo email coordinamentodirittiumani@gmail.com. “La protezione dei lavoratori, delle loro famiglie e dell’intera collettività può essere assicurata solo attraverso la messa in campo di misure per la salute e sicurezza sul lavoro che permettano di dare continuità al lavoro e di garantire la sopravvivenza economica” afferma Guy Ryder, Direttore Generale dell’OIL in occasione della Giornata. Quest’anno l’ILO focalizza la finalità di tale giornata mondiale sulla valorizzazione degli elementi di un sistema di SSL, sulla scorta di quanto stabilito dalla Convenzione OIL sul quadro promozionale per la salute e la sicurezza sul lavoro, 2006 (n. 187).
Sono ancora molte le realtà non solo nel mondo, ma anche in Italia dove non vengono riconosciute le forme più elementari di protezione della salute e salvaguardia della sicurezza dei lavoratori. Ricordiamo la terribile tragedia avvenuta il 3 dicembre del 1984 a Bhopal in India dove persero la vita 2500 persone e di altre 20.000 negli anni che seguirono a causa dell’esplosione della fabbrica di pesticidi della Union Carbide, ma anche atti più subdoli che saltano meno alla ribalta delle cronache come mobbing e il non corretto rapporto di prestazione d’opera senza dimenticare i casi di sfruttamento e il fenomeno del caporalato
