11 febbraio 2022 – Bocciato in Senato l’emendamento che proponeva i ristori per le famiglie dei 369 medici morti per Covid-19 da inizio pandemia.
A renderlo noto il Presidente della FNOMCeO (Federazione Nazionale degli Ordini dei Medici Chirurghi e degli Odontoiatri) Filippo Anelli che sottolinea la gravità della “mancata approvazione del subemendamento presentato dalla senatrice Cantù. L’occasione di dimostrare gratitudine ai medici che hanno dato la loro vita per continuare a curare durante la pandemia. Dispiace – continua – che non si siano trovati i fondi per poter dare un ristoro a queste famiglie che, in molti casi, sono anche rimaste prive dell’unica fonte di sostentamento e alle quali sono negati indennizzi Inail”.
Il subemendamento 2.1500/32 era stato proposto in Legge di Bilancio prima e, successivamente, in sede di conversione del decreto legge 221/21 – proroga dello stato di emergenza e contenimento epidemia Covid-19.
Anelli ricorda che i medici vittime della pandemia sono stati uccisi dal virus principalmente nelle prime fasi dell’emergenza sanitaria, in un periodo in cui medici di famiglia, liberi professionisti, specialisti ambulatoriali ed odontoiatri “hanno combattuto a mani nude contro il virus, in un contesto in cui mancavano mascherine, guanti, i più elementari dispositivi di protezione, lo hanno fatto per i loro pazienti, per il loro Paese. E’ giusto – sottolinea Anelli in conclusione – che ora il Paese riconosca il loro sacrificio, il sacrificio delle loro famiglie e provveda a quanti sono rimasti a ricordarli, sopportando, oltre al dolore della perdita, situazioni economiche anche drammatiche. Invitiamo dunque tutto il Parlamento a una riflessione in tal senso”.
