Roma, 16 giugno 2021 – Il tema della sicurezza sul lavoro rimane sempre un tema molto delicato. Se si osservano i numeri di infortuni e morti sul lavoro, ci si rende conto di quanto siano molteplici gli episodi che si verificano nel corso delle attività lavorative, sia quanto ci sia molto da fare in materia di sicurezza. I dati pubblicati dall’Inail, in merito alle denunce presentate di infortunio o malattie professionali, mostrano come i casi siano ancora lontani dai numeri auspicati. Per ciò che concerne gli incidenti mortali, fino ad aprile, le richieste presentate sono state 306, 26 in più rispetto alle 280 registrate nel primo quadrimestre del 2020 (+9,3%). Il confronto tra il 2020 e il 2021 richiede però cautela, in quanto i dati delle denunce mortali degli open data mensili, più di quelli delle denunce in complesso, sono provvisori e influenzati fortemente dalla pandemia, con il risultato di non conteggiare un rilevante numero di “tardive” denunce mortali da contagio Covid-19. Nel suo report l’Inail fa notare, inoltre, che i decessi causati dal Covid-19 avvengono dopo un più o meno lungo periodo di tempo intercorso dalla data del contagio. Ciò premesso, a livello nazionale i dati rilevati al 30 aprile di ciascun anno evidenziano per il primo quadrimestre di quest’anno un decremento solo dei casi in itinere, passati da 60 a 48, mentre quelli avvenuti in occasione di lavoro sono stati 38 in più (da 220 a 258). L’aumento ha riguardato tutte e tre le gestioni assicurative dell’Industria e servizi (da 253 a 263 denunce) e dell’Agricoltura (da 15 a 25). Dall’analisi territoriale emerge un aumento nel Nord-Est (da 51 a 66 casi mortali), nel Centro (da 44 a 56) e al Sud (da 62 a 87).
L’incremento rilevato nel confronto tra i primi quadrimestri del 2020 e del 2021 è legato sia alla componente maschile, i cui casi mortali denunciati sono passati da 256 a 277, sia a quella femminile, passata da24 a 29 casi. L’aumento riguarda solo le denunce dei lavoratori italiani (da 237 a 267) ed extracomunitari (da 27 a 28), mentre calano quelle dei lavoratori comunitari (da 16 a 11). Le denunce di infortunio sul lavoro, invece, presentate all’Inail entro lo scorso mese di aprile sono state 171.870, in diminuzione di 449 casi (0,3%) rispetto alle 172.319 del primo quadrimestre del 2020. La diminuzione dello 0,3% dell’intero periodo è la sintesi di un calo delle denunce osservato nel primo bimestre gennaio-febbraio (-12%) e di un aumento nel secondo bimestre marzo-aprile (+17%), nel confronto tra i due anni.
