3 agosto 2020 – Non ce l’ha fatta Paolo Todaro, il forestale di 67 anni morto ieri a San Filippo Superiore (Messina) dopo essere caduto da un dirupo mentre tentava di spegnere un incendio.
L’uomo, alla guida di un’autobotte, stava percorrendo una piccola strada di campagna per andare a spegnere un incendio in una frazione di Messina, quando il terreno ha ceduto e il 67enne è precipitato in un dirupo morendo.
L’uomo lavorava per la forestale 101 giorni l’anno e fra due mesi sarebbe andato in pensione. Sulla vicenda interviene anche la segretaria Generale della Fai Cisl di Messina, Sabina Barresi, che afferma “non si può morire a 67 anni, da precario e a pochi mesi dalla pensione, durante l’espletamento di un lavoro impegnativo e logorante come quello dell’antincendio forestale”.
