Mega lenzuoli contro la mafia nei luoghi d’arte in Italia

Roma, 20 maggio 2021 – Si chiama #unlenzuolocontrolamafia, ed è un progetto volto a sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sui valori della giustizia e del ricordo di coloro che hanno dedicato la vita al bene della collettività. L’iniziativa della Fondazione Falcone e del Ministero dell’Istruzione, su un’idea di Alessandro De Lisi, è parte di Spazi Capaci-Comunità Capaci, un progetto di riappropriazione degli spazi urbani attraverso l’arte, pensato in occasione del 29esimo anniversario della Strage di Capaci costata la vita al giudice Giovanni Falcone, alla moglie Francesca Morvillo e agli agenti della scorta Rocco Dicillo, Antonio Montinaro e Vito Schifani. “In alcuni luoghi simbolo del nostro Paese – spiega Maria Falcone, presidente della Fondazione Falcone e sorella del magistrato assassinato dalla mafia – sono stati esposti dei lenzuoli con una illustrazione che ritrae insieme Giovanni e Paolo Borsellino, amico e collega di mio fratello, che con lui condivise rigore impegno professionale e la drammatica sorte”. Sul lenzuolo è stata elaborata un’illustrazione tratta da una foto di Giovanni Falcone e Paolo Borsellino insieme, sorridenti, scattata in un momento conviviale, un’immagine potente, di vita, contrapposta a quelle drammatiche, di morte legate alla violenza mafiosa. I lenzuoli, bandiere laiche che uniscono il Paese in un grido corale contro le mafie e contro la sopraffazione, sono gli elementi di una narrazione che lega luoghi di arte e di cultura in un percorso che, partendo dalle celebrazioni del 29esimo anniversario delle stragi, terminerà nel 2023 con il 30ennale della strategia stragista di Cosa nostra culminata negli attentati di Roma, Firenze e Milano, con l’intento di sottolineare il valore della memoria come patrimonio immateriale del Paese.
Un lenzuolo gigante di 15 m x4,10 m è esposto a circa 15 metri di altezza sull’ingresso occidentale del Colosseo, visibile su via dei Fori Imperiali. “Da subito e senza esitazione alcuna abbiamo aderito a questo progetto – commenta Alfonsina Russo, direttore del Parco archeologico del Colosseo – Il Colosseo è simbolo e ambasciatore nel mondo di unione tra i popoli; è, prima ancora che monumento storico, un luogo in cui in ragione della sua storia ormai quasi bimillenaria tutte le razze del mondo si riconoscono e identificano nel segno della pace”. “Proprio questa sua potente funzione simbolica – prosegue – ne fa spazio privilegiato per qualsiasi forma di sensibilizzazione contro la violenza e ogni specie di discriminazione”. Un lenzuolo delle stesse dimensioni è stato collocato al Teatro Massimo di Palermo, mentre creazioni di dimensioni minori -150 cm x 240cm- sono state esposte in diversi luoghi simbolo del Paese: a Bergamo, presso la Biblioteca Tiraboschi, a Pisa a Palazzo Gambacorti, a Milano al Museo del ‘900, a Torino al Palazzo Civico, a Firenze alla Fondazione Zeffirelli, a Napoli a Palazzo San Giacomo, a Perugia a Palazzo dei Priori, a Reggio Calabria al Museo Archeologico, a Ragusa al Palazzo di Città, ad Ancona al Palazzo di Giustizia, a Norcia al Palazzo Comunale, a Bari al Palazzo di Città, a Trieste alla Prefettura, a Bologna alla sede della Circoscrizione di Borgo Panigale, a Caserta alla Reggia. A Venezia il lenzuolo verrà esposto in tutti i municipi in una sorte di “viaggio” nella città che parte da Ca Farsetti di Rialto per spostarsi alle sedi del Municipio di Mestre, Marghera, Lido, Favaro Veneto, Chirignago Zelarino. All’Asinara, infine, il lenzuolo verrà collocato presso la casa in cui soggiornarono Falcone e Borsellino quando, per ragioni di sicurezza, dovettero lasciare Palermo per completare l’ordinanza di rinvio a giudizio del primo maxiprocesso ai clan. Oggi, in quattro città italiane – Roma, Palermo, Firenze, Milano, teatro delle stragi mafiose del ’92 e del ’93, l’esposizione del lenzuolo è avvenuta nel corso di una cerimonia che ha visto esibirsi la Fanfara dei carabinieri. “Siamo particolarmente orgogliosi di essere stati coinvolti dalla Fondazione Falcone nelle celebrazioni per il 29esimo anniversario della strage di Capaci”, dice Francesco Giambrone, sovrintendente del Teatro Massimo di Palermo.
