19 marzo 2020 – Franco Galli, medico di base 65enne di Mendole (Mantova), é morto il 17 marzo dopo aver contratto il virus COVID-19 sul posto di lavoro. Al momento, nel mantovano, si ha notizia di almeno 4 medici (tra cui un primario), due infermieri e un altro operatore addetto ai servizi risultati positivi.
Il totale tra medici e infermieri contagiati dal nuovo coronavirus in Italia ha toccato ieri quota 2.629, mentre i decessi accertati tra i camici bianchi sono ad oggi sette.
