L’Università di Padova adotta piano per le pari opportunità

Roma, 22 febbraio 2022 – L’università di Padova ha adottato il Gender Equality Plan (GEP) 2022-2024, un documento programmatico triennale che si inserisce nell’ambito dell’impegno dell’Ateneo nella promozione delle pari opportunità e parità di genere.
Gli obiettivi e le azioni presenti all’interno del Piano seguono le cinque aree di intervento identificate dalla Commissione Europea: l’equilibrio tra vita privata, vita lavorativa e cultura dell’organizzazione, l’equilibrio di genere nelle posizioni di vertice e negli organi decisionali, l’uguaglianza di genere nel reclutamento e nelle progressioni di carriera, l’integrazione della dimensione di genere nella ricerca e nei programmi degli insegnamenti e il contrasto alla violenza e alle discriminazioni fondate sul genere e sull’orientamento sessuale.
“Nel nuovo piano particolare attenzione è stata posta alla conciliazione tra l’attività lavorativa, attività di cura e vita privata, con azioni volte al sostegno alla genitorialità e all’accudimento di familiari e allo sviluppo del welfare aziendale – spiega la chirurga Gaya Spolverato, delegata alle Politiche per le pari opportunità dell’Ateneo – fondamentale poi la diffusione e consolidamento di una cultura della parità e delle pari opportunità contro gli stereotipi e le discriminazioni. Prosegue – conclude la docente – l’impegno per una più omogenea distribuzione di genere di studentesse e studenti nelle diverse aree disciplinari, e per incrementare la rappresentanza femminile ai vertici delle carriere accademiche e negli organi decisionali”.
