8 luglio 2019 – Memori della straordinaria impresa realizzata dall’ANMIL con il “Tour per la sicurezza sul lavoro” che ha visto il Presidente della Fondazione ANMIL “Sosteniamoli subito”, Bruno Galvani, intraprendere un viaggio attraverso l’Italia per la maggior parte del tempo percorso su sedia a rotelle, al fine di sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica e promuovere la prevenzione degli infortuni e delle malattie professionali nei luoghi di lavoro, oggi Manuel Giuge si appresta ad intraprendere anche lui un viaggio, a dir poco, straordinario. Per far conoscere al più vasto pubblico possibile la malattia della quale è affetto, la distrofia muscolare, Giuge partirà da Martellago il 14 luglio, giorno del suo 33esimo compleanno, alla volta di Roma. Il mezzo utilizzato per questo viaggio sarà la sua carrozzina dotata di Klaxon Klick, una ruota alimentata da una batteria elettrica che si applica alle sedie a rotelle manuali. L’obiettivo è di farcela in un minimo di 7 giorni fino a un massimo di 10. Il percorso lo vedrà impegnato su piste ciclabili, marciapiedi e sterrati per unire, idealmente e fisicamente, Piazza San Marco a Piazza San Pietro. Il 7 agosto Manuel si troverà nuovamente a Roma per incontrare Papa Francesco.
Come per la campagna dell’ANMIL, per la quale numerosi “Ambasciatori” provenienti dal mondo politico, sociale e del costume diedero il loro supporto all’impresa, ANMIL auspica che l’avventura di Manuel raccolga quanti più consensi e successi sia possibile.
