Quasi 3.000 firme raggiunte!
Nello scorso questo mese di agosto, i nostri Vigili del Fuoco hanno visto disattese tutte le richieste di tutela della categoria avanzate negli ultimi anni: l’incremento dei fondi destinati all’aumento dei salari e alla previdenza nonchè la richiesta di investimento sulle dotazioni organiche, il riconoscimento degli straordinari per soccorso e la cura sanitaria del personale a titolo di anticipo.
Oltre la denunciata esiguità riguardante retribuzioni ed attrezzature, quelli che sono riconosciuti da tutti come i nostri eroi nazionali devono fronteggiare da sempre una ancor più grave mancanza: quella della copertura assicurativa da parte dell’INAIL.
Nel Decreto sicurezza bis non c’è alcun cenno delle istanze che il Corpo rivendica da tempo. Al fine di porre rimedio a questa assenza, lo scorso 8 agosto l’ex sottosegretario agli Interni Candiani ha consegnato ai sindacati dei Vigili del Fuoco il testo di un disegno di legge di riordino del settore che è stato percepito, data la coincidenza temporale con la decisione dell’ex Ministro Salvini di innescare la crisi di Governo, come un ulteriore smacco.
Le traversie dell’ultimo mese hanno scatenato l’insurrezione del Sindacato Fp Cgil Vigili del Fuoco che, attraverso le parole del responsabile nazionale Mauro Giulianella, rivendica il malcontento per il fallito ascolto non escludendo eventuali scioperi nel mese di settembre.
Attraverso Cgil, Cisl e Uil è stata lanciata una petizione su change.org, che l’ANMIL tiene fortemente a perorare e che concretizza, seppur attraverso una forma non istituzionale, la posizione che la nostra Associazione sostiene da tempo circa la necessità immediata del riconoscimento della tutela INAIL ai nostri Vigili del Fuoco.
“Salvano vite ogni giorno, al servizio della collettività, vivono quotidianamente situazioni di pericolo e sono soggetti a frequenti infortuni – si legge nella petizione -. Eppure i vigili del fuoco non hanno una assicurazione per gli infortuni sul lavoro e le malattie professionali che devono affrontare a proprie spese”.
Ad introdurre la petizione, il ricordo dell’incidente del dicembre scorso in un distributore di carburanti in provincia di Rieti nel quale perse la vita il vigile del fuoco Stefano Colasanti che, pur non essendo in servizio, aiutò i soccorsi.
La foto scelta come simbolo della battaglia per il riconoscimento dell’assicurazione INAIL contro gli infortuni sul lavoro e le malattie professionali (la stessa che riportiamo in questo articolo) è quella delle mani di Giuseppe, Vigile del Fuoco del comando di Rieti, rimasto ustionato a mani e gambe mentre tentava di domare le fiamme dell’incendio. Giuseppe, così come molti suoi colleghi coinvolti in incidenti analoghi, non ha ricevuto alcun indennizzo e provvede con le proprie risorse alle spese causate dal suo infortunio.
Luca Cipriani, caposquadra della sede operativa di Verona e ideatore di un’iniziativa analoga di qualche tempo fa, spiega “Non abbiamo l’INAIL perché il vigile del fuoco è stato storicamente abbinato ad un modello risarcitorio in uso nei Corpi militari, definito ‘causa di servizio’, con la differenza che il nostro Corpo non ha mai avuto e non potrà mai avere, viste le ridotte dimensioni, una propria struttura medica. Questo nel tempo sta creando un evidente problema e a fronte di malattie professionali e infortuni siamo costretti a combattere da soli contro strutture militari o burocratiche”.
Il Corpo nazionale dei vigili del fuoco, intanto, ha istituito una commisione che effettuerà una comparazione con le prestazioni erogate dall’INAIL in materia di assicurazione obbligatoria per gli infortuni sul posto di lavoro e per le malattie professionali.
