Roma, 11 marzo 2022 – Con un tweet dell’8 e del 9 marzo, l’INPS ha voluto ricordare ai cittadini di non fidarsi di e-mail ed sms apparentemente provenienti dall’Istituto, ma che potrebbero contenere una truffa. Le comunicazioni ingannevoli possono viaggiare anche tramite il canonico messaggio sul cellulare e non solo per e-mail e sono sempre più diffuse e pericolose, in quanto sfruttano l’affidabilità e la credibilità degli enti istituzionali per mettere in atto furti di dati sensibili, cercando di confondersi con le comunicazioni ufficiali che questi inviano agli utenti.
Lo schema è sempre lo stesso. I cittadini ricevono comunicazioni apparentemente simili a quelle inviate da mittenti affidabili, come possono essere l’INPS o l’Agenzia delle Entrate, il messaggio però contiene un’esca per attuare la frode. Solitamente lo strumento per realizzare l’inganno è un link da utilizzare per fornire informazioni personali, spesso per ricevere rimborsi o pagamenti, altre volte si invita a scaricare file e programmi capaci di apportare danno.
Comunicando i dati anagrafici o relativi a conti correnti e carte di credito o scaricando i contenuti forniti in allegato, si cade nella truffa. L’invito che arriva dall’INPS e dell’Agenzia delle Entrate, enti che involontariamente spesso diventano protagonisti di campagne ingannevoli, è quello di ignorare e cestinare mail e sms e di non comunicare mai nessun dato. Come accorgersi che si tratta di una truffa? La tecnica del “phishing” si basa proprio sulla costruzione di una comunicazione verosimile, ma i dettagli come il mittente, la grafica, il linguaggio, insieme alla richiesta di invio di dati sensibili, sono indizi fondamentali per capire che si tratta di un inganno.
