Roma, 13 luglio 2020 – Sono stati resi noti dall’Inail i dati aggiornati relativi alla pandemia da Covid-19 e alle sue ricadute su economia, mercato del lavoro e andamento infortunistico. Il totale degli infortuni sul lavoro denunciati all’Istituto tra l’inizio dell’anno e il 15 giugno ha presentato, rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2019, una flessione pari a circa il 25%. I cali registrati sono ovviamente da attribuire al lockdown intercorso tra marzo e maggio, con una riduzione di circa 60mila infortuni denunciati rispetto allo stesso trimestre del 2019 (-35,4%).
Tra aprile e giugno, l’Inail ha diffuso cinque Report interamente dedicati al fenomeno delle infezioni sul lavoro da Covid-19. Se al 21 aprile erano stati rilevati 28 mila contagi (di cui 98 con esito mortale), al 15 giugno si è giunti a quota 49mila (con ben 236 vittime). Di tutti i casi menzionati, 3/4 riguardano operatori sanitari: il 40,9% dei contagiati sono infatti tecnici della salute, il 21,3% operatori sociosanitari del “personale qualificato nei servizi sanitari e sociali”, il 10,7% medici e quasi il 5% ausiliari ospedalieri, inservienti in case di riposo, barellieri del “personale non qualificato nei servizi di istruzione e sanitari”.
A livello territoriale, le province più colpite continuano ad essere quelle di Milano per gli infortuni in complesso, e di Bergamo per i decessi. Se infine dal punto di vista degli effetti tangibili e della mortalità sono le fasce di età più avanzate ad essere maggiormente vulnerabili al virus, i giovani risultano essere i più esposti alle conseguenze economiche della pandemia.
