23 gennaio 2020 – Da giugno 2020 si potranno ricaricare le carrozzine elettriche anche alle stazioni di ricarica delle auto elettriche, dotandosi di un cavo che sarà messo in commercio da Enel X la prossima primavera. Il dispositivo, che permetterà alle persone con disabilità di ricaricare la propria sedia a rotelle anche quando si è fuori casa, si chiama JuiceAbility ed è stato presentato in questi giorni a Las Vegas al CES – Consumer Electronics Show -, la più importante manifestazione dedicata all’hi-tech. JuiceAbility consiste in un cavo intelligente e una app: grazie a questo dispositivo, verranno riconosciute le batterie delle carrozzine elettriche, e sarà possibile connetterle al sistema di stazioni di ricarica dei veicoli elettrici dislocati sul territorio. JuiceAbility è compatibile con tutte le sedie a ruote elettriche attualmente in commercio e con qualsiasi colonnina di ricarica Enel X equipaggiata con la presa Tipo 3A. In questo modo le persone con disabilità motorie che usano la carrozzina elettrica potranno usufruire di una rete di oltre 11.000 stazioni di ricarica attualmente in uso per ricaricare le macchine elettriche, come fa sapere Francesco Venturini, Responsabile di Enel X.
