Roma, 4 dicembre 2020 – “Dopo l’aumento nel decreto di agosto per le pensioni spettanti agli invalidi civili al 100% agli inabili, ai sordi, ai ciechi civili assoluti ora dobbiamo ampliare la platea dei destinatari di questo incremento coniugandolo a un rinnovato sistema di accertamento della disabilità coerente con la convenzione Onu”. Così il premier Giuseppe Conte nella Giornata mondiale per i diritti dei disabili. “Nella legge di bilancio abbiamo provveduto a finanziare con 75 milioni in tre anni il fondo riservato per gli interventi specifici in materia di disabilità”.
Tra gli obiettivi del governo, ricorda, c’è quello di “definire il primo codice delle disabilità: è un progetto che si sta rivelando complesso, molto ambizioso ma ci consente di aggiornare la normativa vigente. L’ufficio per la disabilità ha elaborato lo schema di legge delega che è stato trasmesso alle associazioni per le indicazioni affinché venga avviato al percorso di approvazione anche attraverso i pareri dei ministeri coinvolti. Il codice sarà l’occasione per consolidare ulteriormente il sistema di tutele economiche”.
