Roma, 17 febbraio 2021 – I Carabinieri di Ramacca, in provincia di Catania, hanno denunciato un imprenditore edile di 46 anni per omicidio colposo derivante da violazioni delle norme per la prevenzione degli infortuni, un 82enne per la responsabilità penale a carico del committente dei lavori, nonchè un muratore di 36 anni ritenuto responsabile di favoreggiamento personale. Il 12 febbraio scorso, un operaio edile di 60 anni era stato trasportato d’urgenza all’ospedale Cannizzaro di Catania per essere sottoposto ad un delicato intervento chirurgico a causa di politraumi derivanti dalla caduta dal tetto di un’abitazione di Ramacca, dov’erano in corso lavori di rifacimento della copertura. L’uomo, il successivo 15 febbraio, è deceduto. In un primo momento, la testimonianza resa dall’imprenditore, aveva indicato la caduta dell’uomo come avvenuta casualmente dal tetto di un’abitazione privata di Mineo dove lo stesso appaltatore era intento, per conto proprio, alla sistemazione di un’antenna televisiva, e che la vittima era salita sul tetto solo per dargli una mano a titolo personale.
Confutata la testimonianza, è stato chiarito come la vittima stesse in realtà effettuando attività lavorativa in nero ed in violazione delle norme per la prevenzione degli infortuni sul lavoro, all’interno un cantiere edile a Ramacca in via SS. Crocifisso, dove erano in atto lavori, affidati al 46enne, di rifacimento di un tetto. E’ stato accertato che il 36enne, dipendente della ditta, su precisa indicazione dell’imprenditore, al verificarsi dell’incidente aveva provveduto a lavare le tracce di sangue formatesi sul pavimento del cantiere, al fine di eludere le indagini nei confronti del proprio datore di lavoro. Il cantiere, nelle more dell’esecuzione di ulteriori rilievi tecnici, è stato sequestrato.
