Roma, 24 marzo – Sono stati respinti dalla Cassazione (Quarta Sezione Penale) i ricorsi dei cinque imputati per il crollo del palco allestito nel Palasport di Reggio Calabria per il concerto di Laura Pausini, drammatico incidente nel quale il 5 marzo del 2012 morì schiacciato Matteo Armellini, un operaio romano impegnato nell’allestimento della struttura. In particolare, per tre degli imputati è stata confermata la condanna inflitta dalla Corte di Appello di Reggio Calabria il 18 ottobre 2019 per omicidio colposo e disastro colposo, mentre per gli altri due imputati l’omicidio colposo è stato dichiarato prescritto ed è rimasta invece ferma la condanna per il crollo. Tutti sono stati condannati al risarcimento dei danni alle parti civili.
In particolare, le persone condannate dalla Suprema Corte sono l’ex responsabile dell’ufficio tecnico del Comune di Reggio, Marcello Cammera; il coordinatore della sicurezza per i lavori di costruzione della struttura, Sandro Scalise; il progettista Franco Faggiotto; il rappresentante della “F&PGroup”, committente dei lavori di allestimento del palco alla Italstage, Ferdinando Salzano; il responsabile della “Italstage”, societa’ che aveva costruito il palco, Pasquale Aumenta.
A quanto si è appreso, per Cammera e Aumenta sarebbe scattata la prescrizione per l’omicidio colposo, irrevocabile invece la parte della condanna relativa al crollo e al risarcimento.
