Roma, 9 luglio 2021 – In Emilia-Romagna i clochard potranno avere un proprio medico di base. Disco verde della commissione Sanità al progetto di legge del consigliere Antonio Mumolo (Pd). Una “piccola rivoluzione” visto che le persone senza fissa dimora non hanno un medico di riferimento, non possono curarsi e, anche in caso di malattie infettive come il Covid, possono usufruire solo dei servizi del Pronto soccorso. La proposta di Mumolo, che è anche fondatore e presidente dell’associazione ‘Avvocato di strada’ invece, prevede che gli homeless (dall’inglese “senzatetto”), a seguito di segnalazione dei servizi sociali, possano iscriversi alle liste Ausl e avere un medico di base di propria fiducia, prenotare esami e visite specialistiche. “Questa è la prima legge regionale in questo senso: se qualcosa il Coronavirus ci ha insegnato è l’importanza della salute intesa come diritto collettivo e non solo individuale, perché se non si curano tutte le persone ne soffriamo tutti e non solo chi non riesce a ottenere le cure”, ha detto Mumolo.
Dal canto suo Simone Pelloni (Lega) ha spiegato che “non dobbiamo dimenticare nessuno. Dobbiamo risolvere il problema dell’iscrizione anagrafica dei senza fissa dimora, altrimenti con il progetto di legge Mumolo risolviamo solo una parte del problema che tutti vogliamo risolvere”. Apprezzamento per il il progetto di legge Mumolo è stato espresso da Federico Alessandro Amico (Emilia-Romagna Coraggiosa): “È una legge di civiltà che estende i diritti sanitari a tutta la società e sana un buco giuridico, colmando una distanza che per troppo tempo è rimasta tale”. Infine per Lia Montalti (Pd), si tratta “di una legge molto positiva”.
