Roma, 29 maggio 2020 – Per caporalato e reati fiscali sono state denunciate 19 persone dalla Guardia di finanza di Ancona, coordinata dalla locale Procura. L’operazione è stata denominata Global Pay. Si tratta di una maxi frode nella cantieristica navale che coinvolge 16 società del settore subappalti aventi sedi in sei regioni (Marche, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Friuli Venezia Giulia e Veneto). Si tratta di imprese gestite da bengalesi e italiani, con alle dipendenze 416 operai di cui 146 impiegati nel capoluogo dorico nello stabilimento dell’azienda Fincantieri risultata essere estranea ai fatti contestati. Le contestazioni riguardano false fatture per 15 milioni di euro. Gli inquirenti ritengono che attraverso i plurimi illeciti contributivi e fiscali, a danno dei dipendenti delle 16 società coinvolte e dello Stato, si abbattessero artificiosamente il reale costo del lavoro, in modo da poter offrire prezzi ribassati e fuori mercato all’importante società di costruzioni navali.
