Roma, 7 aprile 2021 – Resta il trattore la prima causa di incidenti mortali in agricoltura. Se da una parte emerge un calo delle denunce degli infortuni nel settore, dall’altro la cronaca ci mette di fronte a cause ricorrenti come il ribaltamento del mezzo e la messa in moto fuori controllo. Un confronto tra i dati mensili dell’Inail rilevati al 31 dicembre del 2019 e del 2020 ci dice che il calo degli incidenti è pari al 19,6%. A fronte dei 32.692 casi denunciati nel periodo gennaio-dicembre 2019, infatti, nei 12 mesi successivi il loro numero è sceso a 26.287. Questo calo drastico è da attribuire alla minore disponibilità di forza lavoro e alla riduzione dell’attività generale. L’effetto della pandemia è evidente anche per quanto riguarda i casi mortali denunciati in agricoltura, passati da 151 nel 2019 a 113 nel 2020 (-25,2%). In questo caso la riduzione più consistente, da 131 a 96 (-26,7%), è quella registrata dagli infortuni mortali avvenuti in occasione di lavoro. «La maggior parte dei decessi denunciati- si legge nel report dell’Inail – in particolare, vede il coinvolgimento del trattore. La tipologia di infortunio più frequente è quella in cui il lavoratore, alla guida del mezzo, viene schiacciato dal suo ribaltamento, ma sono stati riscontrati anche casi di investimento, metà dei quali da parte di un trattore privo di conducente, in genere perché l’infortunato era sceso dal mezzo che ha continuato a muoversi autonomamente. Altri casi riguardano lavoratori venuti in contatto con organi in movimento del trattore, per i quali il trattore ha avuto un malfunzionamento o legati a operazioni di manutenzione».
