Roma, 12 luglio 2021 – Per la prima volta nella storia del paraciclismo, Prato ha ospitato la gara a cronometro del Campionato Nazionale di handbike. Hanno partecipato all’iniziativa, ieri 11 luglio, tutte le categorie del paraciclismo (tandem, ciclismo, handbike e triciclo). Si è trattato di un circuito di 5,3 km (con partenza da via Valentini fino a piazza Europa, via Firenze, viale della Repubblica, Declassata e ritorno in via Valentini) da fare il più velocemente possibile e soprattutto alla presenza di tanti atleti che dopo un infortunio o un incidente si sono rimessi in pista. Presenti ai campionati: il Vice Presidente nazionale ANMIL SPORT Italia Amedeo Bozzer, il Vice Presidente Regionale ANMIL Toscana Max Mallegni e una delegazione di ANMIL Prato con il Presidente Pitronaci, il Consigliere Regionale Bardelli ed il Consigliere Nazionale Di Sciullo. Presenti per il comune di Prato il sindaco Matteo Biffoni e l’assessore allo sport Luca Vannucci.
ANMIL Sport Italia è stata la società con il maggior numero di iscritti con ben 24 Atleti partecipanti tra i quali le atlete Ana Maria Vitelaru e Katia Aere fresche di convocazione alle Paralimpiadi di Tokyo 2020.
Ottimi i risultati ottenuti da ANMIL Sport Italia che ha collezionato ben 6 maglie di Campione Italiano con: Paolo Ferrali (Cat MC3), Alessia Refolo e Giorgia Bonetti (Cat WB), Marta Antonucci (Cat WC2), Lucia Nobis (Cat WC3), Giulia Ruffato (Cat WH4), Katia Aere (Cat WH5).
