Roma, 31 maggio 2021 – Il prossimo 8 giugno, alle ore 11.00, sarà inaugurata una grande opera murale dipinta sulla facciata esterna del Liceo Classico Luciano Manara di Roma (Via Basilio Bricci) ad opera degli artisti Alice Pasquini e UNO. L’opera rappresenta il culmine del progetto “Un murale per la parità: parità di diritti, differenze di genere”, nato nell’ambito del bando “A scuola di parità”, promosso dal Comune di Roma – Dipartimento Partecipazione, Comunicazione e Pari Opportunità. Far conoscere alle studentesse e agli studenti la storia delle donne e la conquista della parità di diritti nei rapporti economici, sociali, politici e giuridici, soffermandosi sul fenomeno della violenza sulle donne e degli stereotipi di genere nella comunicazione sociale sono alcune delle tematiche affrontate dal progetto. La proposta è stata ideata dalle docenti Miriam Merlonghi e Simona De Caro, accolta e promossa dalla Dirigente Scolastica Atala Grattarola e dalla Presidente del Consiglio d’Istituto Anna Maria Riccio, realizzata con il patrocinio di D.I.R.E. rete nazionale dei centri antiviolenza, e con la partecipazione del Mu.Fo.Co – Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea di Cinisello Balsamo e degli artisti Alice Pasquini e UNO.
Il progetto, iniziato il 9 marzo scorso, ha visto il coinvolgimento di oltre 60 studenti. Nella prima fase si sono svolti incontri, coordinati dalla giornalista Barbara Bonomi Romagnoli, con esperte ed attiviste della rete territoriale cittadina. In collegamento con il Mu.Fo.Co. si è approfondito il lavoro di artiste fotografe in Italia tra gli anni ’70 e ’90, e la docente Miriam Merlonghi ha dedicato due lezioni alla conoscenza della Street Art intesa come strumento di comunicazione pubblica e di denuncia sociale. Infine si è avviato il laboratorio creativo tra gli studenti e gli artisti Alice Pasquini – in arte Alicè, artista romana le cui opere sono esposte in superfici urbane, gallerie e musei di centinaia di città in tutto il mondo e tra le prime esponenti femminili affermate a livello internazionale nella Street Art – e UNO – muralista che predilige nel suo lavoro le tecniche del decoupages, degli stencil e collages per riflettere sulle manipolazioni dei messaggi e sul consumo dell’identità nella società di massa.
Saranno ospiti di Radio ANMIL domani 1 giugno, dalle ore 12 alle 13: Alice Pasquini e UNO, gli street artist che hanno realizzato il progetto con gli studenti; Anna Maria Riccio, Presidente Coordinamento dei Presidenti di Consiglio d’Istituto; Barbara Bonomi Romagnoli, giornalista; Simona De Caro, Docente di Discipline plastiche del Liceo “Luciano Manara” di Roma; Miriam Merlonghi, Docente di Storia dell’arte del Liceo “Luciano Manara” di Roma; gli studenti del Liceo Manara Camilla Marconi, Caterina Giordano ed Emanuela Cavallo.
