LA VICENDA DI LAILA NON SIA DESTINATA SOLO
AD UN MOTO COLLETTIVO DI BREVE DURATA
Roma, 6 agosto 2021 – “Siamo preoccupati che, come accaduto per la giovane Luana D’Orazio, anche Laila El Harim sia destinata ad essere dimenticata nel giro di pochi giorni – dichiara il Presidente territoriale ANMIL Modena Antonio Masella all’indomani delle manifestazioni che hanno richiamato l’attenzione sugli infortuni sul lavoro – e lo sciopero proclamato in oltre cinquanta aziende della nostra provincia resti una protesta che cade nel vuoto”.
“D’altra parte – aggiunge Masella – gli infortuni, anche mortali, sui luoghi di lavoro nella nostra regione sono stati diversi negli ultimi giorni: mercoledì scorso, nel ferrarese, sono vivi ma hanno ustioni anche gravi alle braccia i quattro operai investiti da una fiammata mentre eseguivano manutenzione in un’azienda; mentre l’ultima tragedia riguarda un operaio travolto da una ruspa in retromarcia che lo ha schiacciato contro una macchina asfaltatrice in un cantiere sull’A15 nell’area di Parma. Lascia una moglie e un figlio e a tutti loro, compreso il compagno di Laila, vogliamo far sentire la nostra vicinanza e offriamo la massima disponibilità per aiutarli ad affrontare il dolore e i problemi che anche noi abbiamo vissuto”.
“Queste tragedie – spiega il Presidente territoriale ANMIL – dimostrano le gravi mancanze nella cultura della sicurezza sui luoghi di lavoro e che il Testo Unico Infortuni, che risale al 1965, va messo al più presto in discussione nell’agenda dei lavori parlamentari per arginare situazioni che lasciano scoperta la tutela anche dei familiari delle vittime del lavoro, prevedendo un’assistenza iniqua e non più rispondente alla odierna società”.
“Non possiamo che plaudire l’intervento del Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella – aggiunge Masella – condividendo quanto dichiarato ieri dall’On. Cesare Damiano, già Ministro del Lavoro e componente del CdA dell’INAIL che ha ricordato la necessità di utilizzare i fondi dell’INAIL proprio per ampliare la tutela assicurativa di soggetti particolarmente esposti, che non beneficiano ancora della copertura assicurativa INAIL, migliorare le prestazioni economiche con l’abbassamento dell’attuale franchigia dal 6% al 4% e venire incontro alle giuste richieste di tanti lavoratori vittime di infortuni sul lavoro e di malattie professionali, anche derivanti dal Covid, che attualmente sono esclusi dal ristoro indennitario”.
“Guardando i dati INAIL nella nostra regione non possiamo che essere fortemente preoccupati – conclude il Presidente Masella – infatti nel periodo gennaio-giugno 2020 gli infortuni sul lavoro sono stati 31.135 mentre, nello stesso periodo di quest’anno, nonostante siano dati provvisori, le denunce sono state già 35.245, quindi ben il 13% in più”.
