Roma, 29 agosto 2019 – È la provincia di Matera a piangere questa volta per l’ennesima tragedia sul lavoro. “Ogni morte è un evento inaccettabile quanto assurda che, per noi vittime del lavoro, rappresenta un’intollerabile offesa alla dignità umana”. È questo il commento commosso del Presidente nazionale dell’ANMIL Zoello Forni. La vicenda evoca immediatamente la spinosa questione delle morti nei cosiddetti“ambienti confinati”, un settore le cui norme sono state disciplinate da un importante decreto del 2011 (d.p.r. 177/2011) voluto dall’allora Ministro del lavoro Maurizio Sacconi, ma serve garantirne l’effettiva applicazione grazie alla quale queste ‘morti a catena’ potrebbero essere evitate o drasticamente ridotte.
“È del tutto evidente – ha proseguito Forni – che ci troviamo di fronte ad una situazione divenuta ormai intollerabile e indegna di un Paese civile. Le morti negli ambienti confinati sono le più facilmente evitabili, perché prevedibili e quindi prevenibili. I fattori di rischio più spesso rilevati sono, infatti, gli errori nelle modalità operative, il non utilizzo dei Dispostivi di protezione individuale e le carenze strutturali degli ambienti lavorativi.
Per questo chiediamo con forza alle istituzioni che si provveda, con la massima urgenza, all’investimento di adeguate risorse per la diffusione della cultura della sicurezza attraverso un percorso organico ed efficace di informazione e di formazione, a cominciare già dai banchi di scuola, rivolgendosi cioè a quegli studenti che saranno i lavoratori e gli imprenditori di domani. Nel Rapporto presentato recentemente dall’Ispettorato Nazionale del Lavoro relativo al primo semestre 2019, risulta purtroppo che il numero delle ispezioni effettuate in azienda è diminuito del 9% rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2018”.
“Oggi per noi continua ad essere un momento di lutto e siamo vicini ai familiari delle vittime di cui comprendiamo pienamente il dolore per averlo vissuto sulla nostra pelle – conclude il Presidente dell’ANMIL – ed è per questo che offriamo il nostro pieno sostegno affinché nessuna delle famiglie si senta lasciata sola”.
