FORNI (ANMIL): SARÀ UNA VIGILIA DI PASQUA CHE
NON POTREMO DIMENTICARE
CON TRE VITTIME SUL LAVORO IN UNA SOLA GIORNATA
Roma, 15 aprile 2022 – “Mentre siamo preoccupati per l’escalation della guerra in Ucraina con i morti, i feriti e intere famiglie di esuli, abbiamo il dovere di guardare a questa guerra che si combatte ogni giorno sul lavoro e che in questo Venerdì Santo ci fa piangere insieme alle famiglie dei quattro lavoratori che hanno perso la vita – dichiara il Presidente dell’ANMIL Zoello Forni – ma di questa guerra tutta italiana nessuno sembra più accorgersi: nessuno si indigna, niente più frasi retoriche, solo un colpevole silenzio che offenda la dignità di chi era solo andato a lavorare e non ha fatto più ritorno a causa di quello stesso lavoro”.
Aveva solo 23 anni il giovane che nel sassarese era impegnato a caricare dei ponteggi su un camioncino quando alcuni tubi gli sono crollati addosso colpendolo mortalmente alla testa, mentre a Trento, sempre in un cantiere edile, un operaio albanese di 39 anni è morto a seguito del crollo di un solaio e invece a Pievesestina di Cesena un operaio di circa 60 anni è morto dopo essere stato travolto dal carico che stava scaricando da un camion dei grossi bidoni per la raccolta dei rifiuti. Infine la giornata di venerdì si è conclusa con la morte di un operaio romeno 54enne che a Sirmione, nel Bresciano, è precipitato da un lucernario durante lavori di manutenzione.
“Ciò dimostra che si continua a morire con le stesse modalità e nulla cambia nonostante le migliori leggi possibili che però non si applicano e non si rispettano”, aggiunge Forni.
“Noi dell’ANMIL rappresentiamo la faccia della medaglia che il lavoro vorrebbe tenere sempre nascosta: quella delle lavoratrici e dei lavoratori che spesso sono per molti soltanto dei numeri a cui vi confesso non riesco ad abituarmi e ad accettare, ma nessuno in effetti dovrebbe farlo. E invece, quando alcuni giorni fa l’INAIL ha diffuso gli ultimi dati, ci aspettavamo, se non le prime pagine, di sicuro un’ampia trattazione su cosa sta succedendo visto che le denunce di infortuni del primo bimestre del 2022 rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2021 sono passate da 74.688 nel 2021 a 111.975 del 2022 con un aumento del 49,9% e ben 114 denunce di incidenti mortali”.
“Sono numeri di una strage invisibile per la quale dobbiamo volere tutti un’inversione di rotta senza indugi e che faccia mettere la vita e la salute dei lavoratori ad di sopra degli interessi economici, perché cosa c’è dietro ogni infortunio lo sa solo chi ne resta vittima e fuori dalle famiglie non fa alcuna notizia”, sottolinea il Presidente dell’ANMIL.
“Più volte ANMIL ha richiamato l’attenzione sulla necessità di dare alla formazione uno spazio maggiore, ma soprattutto una formazione efficace come quella delle nostre testimonianze che nelle aziende e nelle scuole dove veniamo invitati riescono a lasciare segni indelebili che riescono a sensibilizzare più di ogni altra modalità.
È tempo di ascoltarci e di mettere il nostro impegno su un gradino più elevato affinché si rafforzi la cultura e il valore della prevenzione. L’anno è iniziato con alcune riforme importanti da parte del Governo Draghi ma ora non ci sono più scuse: è venuto il momento di mettere ‘pancia a terra’ questi provvedimenti e non possiamo più assistere al rimpallo delle responsabilità perché la sicurezza sul lavoro è un bene comune che dobbiamo coltivare tutti insieme ogni giorno”.
