14 febbraio 2022 – Istituita una Commissione di studio per favorire l’integrazione sociale delle persone con disabilità e rafforzare il loro diritto ad usufruire dei servizi di mobilità. Con decreto promosso dal Ministro delle Infrastrutture Enrico Giovannini e dal Ministro per le Disabilità Erika Stefani, il provvedimento mira a rafforzare l’autonomia e la piena partecipazione alla vita sociale dei cittadini con disabilità per arrivare, utilizzando le parole del Ministro Stefani, all’ “eliminazione di tutte le barriere, sia quelle architettoniche che quelle legate alla comunicazione, è un’azione fondamentale per garantire il diritto alla mobilità e l’accesso ai servizi delle persone con disabilità. La Commissione lavorerà rispettando i principi della progettazione universale ‘design for all’ affinché ogni luogo e ogni servizio sia inclusivo per tutti. Il nostro obiettivo è creare un contesto pienamente inclusivo e accessibile per le persone con disabilità, realizzando così un ambiente sicuro per tutti”.
La Commissione è formata da esperti del settore provenienti dai ministeri coinvolti – Infrastrutture, Disabilità, Economia e Finanze – nonché dalla Conferenza delle Regioni e delle Province Autonome, dell’Associazione Nazionale dei Comuni Italiani (Anci) e dell’Unione delle Province (Upi).
Entro sei mesi dal suo insediamento, la Commissione presenterà una relazione sui temi dell’accessibilità e la mobilità inclusiva proponendo una road map di azioni da concretizzare.
“Il miglioramento della qualità della vita delle persone con disabilità e la loro inclusione sociale e lavorativa è una delle priorità del governo. Per questo è fondamentale eliminare le barriere che ne impediscono l’accesso agli edifici, ai servizi e a tutti i mezzi di trasporto – ha affermato il Ministro delle Infrastrutture Giovannini – La Commissione fornirà indicazioni e suggerimenti utili per l’adozione delle migliori politiche per il raggiungimento della piena inclusione. Le risorse del Pnrr potranno fornire un supporto economico importante per rimuovere gli ostacoli che ancora impediscono una piena partecipazione delle persone con disabilità alla vita economica e sociale”.
